Finally patterns were made out of the phrases and words chosen to be worked on in the school's BANNERMANIA computer programme. These designs were then printed onto one of the artworks - a huge umbrella (called a kyinie) representing those used in some West African state ceremonies.

Apart from the words or phrases shown below, others included: RESPECT, PEACE, SPIRIT POWER, POWER RUN, AFFECTION, ENERGY, BRAIN, POWER & LOVE and SHARING.

STORY-TELLING REPORT

Three stories were told over the residency. The story-telling took place in the classrooms, sometimes in conjunction with the artwork sessions and using whatever the boys were involved in at the time, incorporating diverse actions into the scenario.
