power drawing

Examples:
This is a man who has eyes everywhere so he can see all around (above).

The man in the mouth is showing that he is very strong. "I'm powerful because I have many arms and can do many things at once" (right).

Immediately after the pupils had made their power word sculptures in the hall on Day 3, they drew their power figures. Elements from each of their drawings would be cut out and pieced together to make two giant collaborative power figures to be placed on either side of the power banner/book.

Day 3 continued with a discussion around different areas of power:

"We have learned lots about power and talked about spiritual power, masculinity and strength"
"We have been discussing things like: 'are men more dominant than women?' and 'do men get all the chances?'"

charcoal masculine symbol

This was followed by the pupils doing spontaneous drawings of masculine symbols in charcoal.
