POWER |
Please wait for all images to download. |
Pupils had already been introduced to the screen printing process on the afternoon of Day 1 when they printed their power banner. Please see the introduction day for pictures. | |
On Day 4 they cut out selected parts from their power drawings and screen printed them as power figures. |

(Above) Viv, Sola, Jacqui and Tony holding the screen printed power print before it was made into the banner/book. One of the figures is displayed on the front and one on the back of the book. To decorate the inside, on Day 5, the pupils mono-printed their own individual squares (shown below). |

Also on Day 5 the pupils screen printed their own bags into which their personal writings/memories will be placed. These are to be pinned to the mono-printed inside of the banner/book at the finishing ceremony as a way of activating it. Many of the pupils machine sewed up their own bags with help from Shelagh, one of the Cloth of Gold finishers. |

THE FINISHED BANNER/BOOK was presented at a joint performance day with Project 4 (Rectory Paddock Special School) in May 2000 when the bags were ceremoniously hung inside the book. |
