Julian's leopard image scanned into the computer

Above: Julian also chose this picture of a leopard from the same source to be added to his backdrop.
"I chose this leopard because I thought that my subject was walking in the forest and she found a leopard that looked lonely..."

    Julian's portrait with background removed

Above: Julian then chose his subject and asked her to pose as if she was stroking the leopard in the picture. The picture was taken with a digital camera and the background removed again using a computer paint programme (Paint Shop Pro 5).
"... so the woman went towards the leopard and the leopard roared and she asked the leopard if it was lonely and the leopard went "roar, roar, roar" ..."

    Julian's merged backdrop

Above: The merged backdrop was created in a computer paint programme (Paint Shop Pro 5). The process included resizing, sharpening, cutting and pasting sections into layers to appear behind and in front of objects and then merging.
"... and so she said "I'd better take you home" and she patted the leopard on the back as a sign of friendship."
