The children then added 'stars' made from collecting tiny dots of paper from a hole punch and screen printed using either a warm colour blend in Crimson class or a cold colour blend in Rose class.

The blend was made using light colours at the bottom growing darker at the top just like a night sky.

When the cushion fronts were finished the children hand painted directly onto squares of fabric for the back of the cushion (see right).

Once painted they squeegeed off the excess ink (left) and then mono-printed designs on top (see pictures below)
