On project days 3, 4 and 5 the suite of iMacs was booked out to enable pupils to look at the Inspiration Africa! Website. The introduction day and visit to the Horniman Museum pages had been documented and these were then presented back to the pupils who wrote the following comments:

"I feel special because I contributed to the Web page"

"I saw the picture being taken and then saw it on the internet"

"I think the museum visit page looked nice and it makes it look even better by seeing what other people drew"

"I loved the museum visit but couldn't remember it very well and so this has made me remember"

"I think it is interesting and a good idea to look up our work on the internet"

"I've taken part so I'm really happy"

Most pupils logged into the Inspiration Africa! classroom and saw what may be available as an on-line teaching aid in the future. They followed the Mende links (now shown below) and some sent their messages of welcome which can be accessed from the diamond-shaped link below.

As well as taking an interest in the digital cameras and mini-disk recording used to document their project on the Website, the pupils also thought about their project Web page structure, designing buttons and menu-bars.

These drawings were scanned into the computer, resized and saved as JPEGS in an image manipulation programme such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.

The image file details were then added to the page's source code and anchor reference tags were placed around them detailing where the link should take you. The page source HTML code is shown under View at the top of your browser window menu and then Page Source (Netscape) or Source (Internet Explorer). You can also add images and links in Web Editing software.
