Year 1 were asked to think about the whole project - what they had seen at the museum, the different objects they had looked at from the handling collection, the things Amoafi had shown them and the stories and songs they had learned.

The children were asked to close their eyes and think what was the one object that they remembered most from the project.

They then drew a picture of it and cut it out for the class banner. Following the style of their key object the Osi Audu painting - I have a landscape in my head, they printed their pieces on a brightly coloured background using opaque black ink and framed it with a cool grey border.

Their objects were now shown up in all the colours of the rainbow, a collaborative piece was created showing the 'landscape inside their heads' inspired by their experiences during the project.

The shapes used in this landscape banner were also used for the virtual banner. They were scanned onto a computer, resized and prepared for use in COGPROG.

See the virtual banner session.
