Above: Rizwan decided to incorporate two backdrops and chose a postcard also of a beach scene which was then scanned onto the computer .

Rizwan's first merged backdrop

Above: Rizwan's first merged backdrop. Rizwan flipped his portrait and added a mirror image to the beach scene. He then worked on the opacity of each layer to achieve the above effect.

Rizwan's second merged backdrop

Above: There were so many options available Rizwan was able to save a second version fading out the hand coloured beach scene to reveal more of the layer behind and creating a totally different feel.
