Lee's merged artwork layered and manipulated on computer

Above: The merged portrait with backdrop was created in a computer paint programme (Paint Shop Pro 5). We used layers, cutting and pasting sections and then Lee worked into the image with various painting tools and applied filters.

Lee commented about his first project and the choices he made:
"It was easy - I wanted my subject to look nice, so I have asked her to dress and pose in this way".
Of the backdrop and way that he merged the portrait with it he said:
"I wanted things to look as if they were flying through the air and so my subject could also fly through the air."
