  • Secondary School Projects

  • The St. Georges Residency is shown here as an example of a secondary school project working with both the Art and Technology departments.

  • Set up by the Barbican Centre to explore new and exciting ways of working with textiles in response to the rhythm, colour and expression of jazz music. Year 10 pupils from Morpeth Secondary School, Tower Hamlets, worked with Tony Minnion and Gina Southgate and a live jazz trio to produce over 40 metres of printed banners which was their response to "Seeing Jazz". The banners were exhibited at the Barbican Centre in June 1999.
