ABOUT RAGLAN PRIMARY SCHOOL
SUPPLEMENTARY ARTWORK
THE EVALUATION DAY AND
THE MAKING AND INSTALLATION OF THE WIND SCULPTURE

Raglan Primary School is an Award Winning Eco-School.

With the encouragement of their teacher, Year 2 produced much supplementary artwork. Shown here (on the images page) are a few examples - masks, classroom displays.

As well as using Inspiration Africa! for the focus of their assembly, Year 2 also had a further celebration of music and dance on their IA Evaluation day. This took place on the day that Tony was delivering one of the art outcomes of Project 11 (WISH HATS) to Alexander Infants School and so the pupils from Project 7 were able to see and wear them for their session.

The page with images shows 8 pics of the design and construction of the wind sculpture. The piece features the childrens fabric pieces of manmade and natural symbols hanging on swivels within a bamboo structure. When the wind blows the images rotate showing both sides of each of the 15 sections.

This will be on display, along with outcomes from the other 11 projects, at the Horniman Museum from 9th July 2001 for three months. Please e-mail inafrica@clothofgold.org.uk for more details.
