This project involved an artist and website developer from Cloth of Gold working with five pupils, the art teacher and classroom helpers from Richard Cloudesley school for children with physical disabilities over an eight week period last term (Spring 1999). The pupils worked from the exhibition of photographs at the Barbican Centre "Africa by Africa: A Photographic view" and used new information and communication technologies.
The aims
and objectives of the project:The first week of the project was spent meeting the pupils, Dana, Julian, Lee and Rebecca (Rizwan joined the project in week 4), looking at their current artwork and introducing ourselves and our work through the Cloth of Gold website. Arrangements were made to visit the exhibition the following week.

After finishing the project in the last week of March, the pupils were able to meet Philip Kwame Apagya, one of the artists exhibiting at the "Africa by Africa" exhibition, who visited Richard Cloudesley School.
