THE MAGICAL CLOTH

A poor woodcutter was wandering in the wood. He was thinking that it was his son's 21st birthday. He saw a trail of scraps of cloth on the floor. He followed it, picking up each bit. It lead him to thread a needle yellow and blue paint printers and a bowl of water. With all of the stuff he made a benevolent top for his son then wrapped it up in several big leaves.

When he got home he gave it to his son. When his son opened it he got a terrible fright. The top started singing. The woodcutter's son was so terrified he threw the top on the floor. The shirt yelled "That is no way to treat a shirt!". The son was so terrified that he promised to himself to send the shirt away to his cousin in England. They saved up all the money they got to send it to England. When they had enough money they sent it off with a note:

'Dearest cousin,
Here is a small present from your home country.'
Mr and Mrs Wood

When the Wood's cousin opened the package and the shirt talked to her she laughed and told herself how she could make millions. Straight away the Wood's cousin made millions and was happy but she was very well off so she sent all the money she made to the Wood's.

The Wood's were delighted and were very happy in their new huge house but only a few years later did they realise who it was from with this note:

'Dearest Wood's,
My fortune from your gift,
With love'
Dearest Cousin
