INSPIRATION AFRICA!
Project 12
FRIDAY, 23 MARCH, 2001
Hello Year 9 |
|
1. | Have a look at the part of the website that explains about the virtual banner. Next week Tony will be working with you individually placing one of your shapes on the digitised virtual banner. This is designed using a programme called COGPROG. Please take this link to see the banner so far. Please look at the process and also the COGPROG day at previous schools. |
2. | Next I'd like you to have a look at the some of the sites I've found about Egypt and Egyptology. www.thebritishmuseum.ac.uk/egyptian (you could try going to the research section, click on FAQs page - think of a good question and e-mail it to egyptian@thebritishmuseum.ac.uk.) http://school.discovery.com/homeworkhelp/worldbook/atozhistory/e/175060.html http://www.torstar.com/rom/egypt/ (this site had a hieroglyphic translator page - it also has lots of information about hieroglyphics) http://www.eyelid.co.uk (lots of information - hieroglyphs etc. - reconstructions and games to download) |
3. | Many of you are familiar with saving images from the web. If you are not place your cursor over the coffin below and RIGHT click your mouse - take the SAVE PICTURE AS option and save to your area. Open up the picture in Paint and make up your own belief hieroglyph on the space provided. Save it to Inspiration Africa! floppy disk. Thanks, Jacqui. |
