Working with pupils from Woodside Community School in Plaistow, we (Anna, Tony, Cath, Alan) produced 3 x 30ft double sided banners to advertise and promote the Childrens Discovery Centre in Stratford (London, U.K.) which will be opening in 2001. The workshops took place over three days in September 1999 and the banners were hung by the fire brigade on a wet Saturday morning in October.

We worked with Year 8 for two days and Year 7 for one day, hand printing the 6 pieces of 30ft cloth and then screen printing on top with images of letterforms, patterns and parts of the figure.

'The Power of Words, Language and Communication' was the theme of the banners which now hang from the outside of the building.
