The monster got out of the bed and he sneeked of and went far away. When the animals woke up, they saw the monster had gone. So they went and searched for him.
The monster was hiding in a cosy little house, but the animals found him because the monster just could not escape from them.
The monster said, "Do not do this to me please. I really will be good." After this, the monster stopped being mean, and in the end he became good friends with the animals.
So although he never found the magic coat, he gained some friends, and some people would say that is much better.
