Virtual Visitors Project
An arts project for Holocaust Memorial Day held in Cardiff.
|
Virtual Visitors This online creative arts project was one of the activities organised for the Holocaust Memorial Day held in Cardiff.
The project gives pupils the opportunity to receive ‘Virtual Visitors’ to their school and community travelling through time and cyber space.
The visitors will initially arrive from war time Europe seeking refuge from Nazi persecution to tell their story ‘first hand’ to their new classmates.
During the project they will gradually transform into contemporary characters to help explore and better understand how we respond to all ‘outsiders’ and people whose appearance and customs may be different from our own.

Each month an archived recent project animation will be highlighted here. Currently we are featuring the Gravity Project - a cross-curricular arts project at Deptford Green Secondary School, Lewisham, London, UK. This movie is also available on our main site under Recent Projects, Creative Learning, Cross-curricular.
Can an arts project over a 10 week period re-engage a mixed group of disengaged learners from Year 7?
